Abstract

A robust method is proposed to prepare a transparent SWNT/polymer nanocomposite with low electric resistance. The study prepared thin composite films by using spin-coating of a SWNT solution with self-assembled poly(styrene-block-4vinylpyridine) copolymers. It was observed during the study that the conductance of thin composite film can be improved by the selective incorporation of HAuCl4·3H2O doping agents. It was found that the conductance of the thin films can be controlled by the amount of the doping agents. The study also investigated the transmittance of the composite films on glass substrate with various SWNT and metal salts content. The spin coating process can be suitable for fabricating a transparent SWNT/block copolymer composite film with controllable sheet resistance.
