Abstract

Three-dimensional framework material containing Mn(salen)⁺ units and cyano-Re₆Se₈ clusters was prepared, and its crystal structure was determined by x-ray crystallography. The compound crystallized in the rhombohedral space group R3c with a = 16.1760(4) Å, c = 44.965(1) Å, V = 10189.3(4) Å³, and Z = 6. In the structure, each anionic cluster, Re₆Se₈(CN)₆^4- was bridged by six Mn(salen)⁺ units to form a three-dimensional framework.
