Abstract

The synthesis of 14C-2-amino-9-(3-hydroxymethyl-4-isopropoxycarbonyloxy-but-1-yl)purine from [1-14C] diethyl malonate is described. The overall radiochemical yield of the product in a nine-step sequence was 16.1%, and the compound's radiochemical purity was 98.5%.
