Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss grand unified theories (GUTs) from the heterotic string and present the resultant phenomenological implications. We take concrete example a flipped SU(5) model on ℤ_{12 − I} orbifold. In Chaps. 7–12, we discussed in length the theoretical framework for orbifolded superstrings.
