Slope stability of Fano fourfolds with respect to smooth surfaces

Abstract

Let (X;-K_X) be a Fano fourfold and let S ∪ X be a smooth surface. We show that (X;-K_X) is slope semistable with respect to S if c1(N_S/X) is a nontrivial and nef class.
