Abstract
(Figure Presented) Completing the move: The intermetal transfer of an oxygen atom from nonheme iron(IV)-oxo to iron(II) complexes (see example, purple: Fe, red: O, blue: N, gray: C) has been unambiguously evidenced spectrophotometrically, mass spectrometrically, and electrochemically. The transfer of the oxygen atom was found to be dependent on the oxidizing power of the iron(IV)-oxo complexes.
