Abstract

The magnetically controllable nanocrescent surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) probes were performed by incorporating composite layers with a ferromagnetic materials. The choice of materials and multilayer thickness were designed with the assistance of finite-element simulation. The maximum local field enhancement is achieved when the propagation direction of the excitation field is parallel to the symmetry line of the nanocrescents.
