Abstract

In collision experiments with cluster ions it is possible to reach conditions of extreme temperature and pressure which may lead to the occurrence of novel chemical reactions which cannot take place under normal conditions. In this paper we review the reactions which can occur in hyperthermal collisions of fullerene ions with gas phase or solid targets.
