Abstract
High-flexion total knee arthroplasty shows clinical results similar to conventional total knee arthroplasty. It is inconclusive whether high-flexion total knee arthroplasty truly achieves more flexion compared with conventional total knee arthroplasty. However, these implants might be beneficial for more patients with stiffer preoperative knee motions. Some concerns regarding early femoral component loosening of high-flexion-type implants remains, but clinical results in general support the use of these implants.
