Abstract

Easy recovery and reutilization of the catalyst in consecutive reactions: These are the advantages offered by a new class of polymer-bound Trost-type ligands (see Figure; is a polystyrene-based resin or JandaJEL). A complex is formed with [{(η3-C3H5)PdCl}2] that catalyzes asymmetric allylic substitutions with excellent activity and enantioselectivity (up to 99% ee).
