Abstract

This study investigated related factors to turnover intention of nurses in comprehensive care units. A convenience sample consisting of 184 comprehensive care unit nurses completed questionnaires measuring the level of nursing performance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Data analysis using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression showed that turnover intention of nurses in comprehensive care units had a negative relation with nursing performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The significant predictor of turnover intention was organizational commitment followed by age, education level, and nursing performance. Enhancing organizational commitment as a strategic management would be utilized to reduce turnover intention of nurses in comprehensive care units.
