Abstract
10-Methylacridinium ion (AcrH+) has versatile redox activities for both thermal and photochemical redox reactions, including its use as a redox a catalyst or a precursor of a catalyst for the synthetic applications. Mechanisms involved in and catalysis in the electron transfer chemistry of AcrH+ are discussed as models of redox coenzymes in biological reactions.
