Abstract

Various nonlinear optical effects in Chiral nonlinear optical media were investigated. The pocket effects in the bismuth silicon oxide single crystal were studied using polarization interferometry. Polyisocyanate random copolymer containing an asymmetric chiral center and optical chromophores was synthesized. Electro-gyration effects were studied using a bent-shaped liquid crystal.
