Abstract
High-quality planar tunnel junctions of MgB 2 superconductor were investigated. The MgB 2 film surface quality and composition were determined by Auger electron spectroscopy. Two superconducting energy gaps due to the σ and π bands of MgB 2 were determined. Phonon structure were also observed during the tunneling process.
