Abstract

In the introduction to our article «More than nation and knowledge: Cultural micro-diversity and organ donation in Switzerland» [1] several phrases were taken from the following two articles without offering proper reference to these publications: “Public knowledge and attitudes regarding organ and tissue donation: an analysis of the northwest Ohio community” by SL Sander SL & BK Miller [2] and “Organ Donor Registration Preferences Among Hispanic Populations: Which Modes of Registration Have the Greatest Promise?” by Jason T. Siegel, Eusebio M. Alvaro & Sara Pace Jones [3]. We regret that we violated the authors’ right and apologize for these errors of omission with regard to these citations. Although these errors concerned phrasing rather than research findings, and despite the fact that this does not at all affect any of the data of the study nor the interpretation of the data or the conclusion that we draw, we nevertheless believe an apology is due.
