Abstract

Measurements of carbonaceous species in fine particles were carried out at Cheju Island, Korea during eight field experiments between 1994 and 1998 to understand transport and transformation characteristics of anthropogenic air pollutants in northeastern Asia. Concentrations of both organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC) were determined. The obtained values at Cheju were compared to those obtained in other clean areas.
