Abstract

A new readily synthesized fluorescent chemosensor, calix[1]pyreno[3] pyrrole, displays excellent affinity with C₇₀. Anion-induced facile conformational changes and the dynamic nature of the receptor could be an excellent scaffold for sensing electron-deficient guests.
