A research on the organic minimalism regarding changes in minimalism: Focused on the field of contemporary branding

Abstract

Based on external contextual evidence and internal formative expression characteristics, minimalisms were categorized into three types-functional, psychological, and organic minimalism. Particularly in the field of contemporary branding, organic minimalism built a relationship through the following four methodologies: 1. Maximizing the characteristics of Material 2. Using the characteristics of a local place 3. Increasing intimacy with an individual through customized design and 4. Communicating through Storytelling. This study also found a possibility that the methodologies are expanded as they fuse together.
