Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this study was to explore in-depth opinions on a substantive operation plan, taking into account both their experience and support needs, and the specific direction of operation related to the needs of the field with staff members and users of the special education support center for physical and multiple disabilities in Gyeonggi-do. Method Three special education teachers and one school supervisor were selected as the staff, and eight special education teachers were selected as users. In-depth interviews were conducted with the participants. All collected data were analyzed using a continuous comparison analysis method. Results Three themes were identified including current status of operation of the special education support center for physical and multiple disabilities, actual utilization of the center, and support needs for improving the program of the center. Conclusion Based on the findings, implications were discussed to substantiate the operation of the Special Education Support Center for Physical and Multiple Disabilities along with the significance of the study, limitations and directions of future studies.
